We learnt what people need when they are going to make a movie.

In our group was Me,Cleo, Alani, Millan, Koda, Kiarn, Teina, 
I  was a actor I had a script so did every one else. I was Drew
and Kevin was Alex.

We had to do -

• Establishing shot
• clipper  clapper -shot take 1.
• camera speed.
• director says-turn over.
• sound operator -says sound speed

   

  

Making puddles -The water cycle

WALT explain what happens when water evaporates.

What was our hypothesis?

we think that puddles will evaporate faster in the sun than in the shade.

Describe what we did?

1. Alani tipped 2lL on the concrete to make a puddle in the sun.
2. Liv, Cleo,and Reina  j drew around the puddle with chalk and Anahera 

What happened? The puddle in the sun disappeared faster.

Ka Pai Kai with Whaea Anna

We are learning to cook food with Whaea Anna. She is teaching us all about healthy eating.

In my group is Mason T Reina Mason L and me. We are making nachos and our recipe needs corn chips ,beans,garlic and mince oil pan sour cream. we are going to be using bowls knifes and spoons coping bored I am looking ford to be  cooking with my group.

We have been learning all about water this term. When I did the video I felt nervous but really excited. Today I learnt how to share my video with other people and I also learnt how to put it on my blog.

The Lion King Movie Trip - First Draft

On Thursday Te manga and Te Tinana went to watch the lion king at Te Ahu.

first we got our bags ready after we got our  bags ready we got on the bus Evet made lion head bands for the girls they were so cute.

when we finally got there Whaea deb picked people that were sitting nicely to go get there pop corn and drink and then we went in we sat down and waited for the movie to start.

 first Rafiki the baboon  held Simbr the new baby lion all the other animals were gathered up on the grass. as he grew older he meet his uncle Scar well his dad went out hunting for food. 

Wonderful Sentences

I have been learning how to copy and paste from our class writing flip charts to share our learning. I know how to insert bullet points and use the highlighting tool.

We Know That Wonderful Sentences Need:

• Detail (elaboration)
• Capital letters and full stops
• Punctuation (, ! ? “ “)
• Quality vocab - WOW words

WALT recognise different parts of speech.

• Nouns are naming words. eg. chair, book, July, Awhi
• Adjectives describe nouns. Eg. wooden chair, writing book, freezing July, lovely Awhi
• Verbs are doing words. Eg run, walk, jump, skip, chew
• Adverbs describe verbs. Eg. briskly running, slowly walking, jumping high, skipping
• happily and chewing noisily.

Example:   

The bird is angry.
The bird looks angry and very evil.

The cat is sad.
The black fluffy cat is sad because he is lost in the freezing cold forest.
