I am a Year 5 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Mrs Junjovich is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feed forward. Other times I will share my final published pieces. I would appreciate any feedback through leaving me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment. Thank you

Her favourite food is biscuits, avocados and bones. Koby likes to wreck the avocados, and likes to hide them under ground, plus she likes to hide her bones and scuff her dog biscuits as fast as she can, then when she eats them too fast she gets sick and lies down right on her food bowl.
Koby likes Tummy rubs, leaning on people, sleeping, quiet and food. She doesn't like Loud noises, people touching her tail, people touching her nose and ears. Koby does silly things like always eating avocados while jumping around like a Hippo, she is often sleeping on my Dad's chair which is Koby's fav chair. She can be as silly as a clown.
Her nicknames are Kob, Koby Woby,Kobs and sleepyhead. She sleeps as quietly as a Lion. My dog is always up on our deck where she is not allowed to be so my mum always tells her to get off. She always listens but when Mum is not looking she always sneaks back. She is a cheeky dog alright.
The person inspires me is my Mum has long, brown, shiny, straight hair, Her eyes are beautifully brown coloured, with a hint of green. Ears that are nicely smooth and she wears perfectly amazing earrings. She has a curved bumpy nose, and a nice bright smile that lights up my day when I see her smiling. Her skin is as smooth as a fluffy pencil case.
My favourite memory with my Mum is when me and Mum went to rainbows end because she was brave enough to take me on all the rides I wanted to go on and also the ones she wanted to go on. My Mum was as scared as a Lion on the fair-fall.
When my Mum gets angry she yells at anything she is close to even if it's not what made her mad. Sometimes she storms to her room and shuts the door so Dallas my older brother has to look after me or my Dad will look after me. My mum is as Amazing as a Yummy Smelling Flower.
-1. Hi my name is Kaydee and today my speech is about why pets are important to my family. I have 3 animals to talk about today, And those animals are 2 dogs and 1 cat. Their type is German Short-haired Pointer(GSP) and Labrador, their names are Koby (she’s 9 years old) and Milla (she’s 4 years old). Koby is white with brown spots, Milla is chocolate brown. Benjamin is grey with a white belly and chin. My cat is 3 yrs old.-2. My dogs are crazy pretty much whatever food you give them they will eat. But there is something different about my cat. He is a fussy cat. He will only eat birds, cat biscuits, meat and fish. The dogs love tummy rubs, running, hunting, birds, and rabbits. Our dogs like a lot of things. They sleep in their cosy kennel with big hunting beds, and normally Benjamin sleeps in my bed on my fav blanket right in front of my face. In fact he sometimes wakes me by either scratching me moving around or biting my fingers. 3-All my animals have taught me how to show love, trust, patience, respect and compassion towards others. The animals have always given me company and they are always my cuddle buddies when Mum, Dad or Dallas are not at home. They are just amazing pets. I love them just as much as I love my parents.4-Here are a few interesting facts about cats and dogs. The oldest known cat that existed was 9500 years ago (woah! isn't that amazing!) Cats spend most of their daily life sleeping in the house or around the concrete. The record of the longest cat measures 45.5 inches long. Most cats don't have eyelashes - whoa!!5- Once again like I said pets can teach you trust, patience, respect and compassion. I really do love my pets just like my family, and my animals are part of my family. That's why I think every family deserves to have a pet. Thank you for listening to my speech. I really do hope you enjoyed it.
My mother reminds me of her red lipstick that matches the red flowers in our backyard.
My mother reminds me of the bright yellow lemons that I pick on a sunny day.
My mother reminds me of the blue ladybugs that fly around our concrete.
My mother reminds me of the purple dragon flower growing in our front yard.
My mother reminds me of the beautiful green leaves that are sprinkled on our trees.
My mother reminds me of the juicy oranges growing right next to the avocado tree.
And that is why I think my mother should be nominated for the best mother.
