Liv and Kaydee's Amazing Water Facts

We have been learning all about water this term. When I did the video I felt nervous but really excited. Today I learnt how to share my video with other people and I also learnt how to put it on my blog.


Did you know earth's fresh supply is limited and threatened by pollution! Also the worst river disaster killed 500 000 fish in the Rhine river Switzerland when chemicals from a fire were washed into the water.

The Lion King Movie Trip - First Draft

On Thursday Te manga and Te Tinana went to watch the lion king at Te Ahu.

first we got our bags ready after we got our  bags ready we got on the bus Evet made lion head bands for the girls they were so cute.

when we finally got there Whaea deb picked people that were sitting nicely to go get there pop corn and drink and then we went in we sat down and waited for the movie to start.

 first Rafiki the baboon  held Simbr the new baby lion all the other animals were gathered up on the grass. as he grew older he meet his uncle Scar well his dad went out hunting for food. 

Wonderful Sentences

I have been learning how to copy and paste from our class writing flip charts to share our learning. I know how to insert bullet points and use the highlighting tool.

We Know That Wonderful Sentences Need:

• Detail (elaboration)
• Capital letters and full stops
• Punctuation (, ! ? “ “)
• Quality vocab - WOW words

WALT recognise different parts of speech.

• Nouns are naming words. eg. chair, book, July, Awhi
• Adjectives describe nouns. Eg. wooden chair, writing book, freezing July, lovely Awhi
• Verbs are doing words. Eg run, walk, jump, skip, chew
• Adverbs describe verbs. Eg. briskly running, slowly walking, jumping high, skipping
• happily and chewing noisily.

Example:   

The bird is angry.
The bird looks angry and very evil.

The cat is sad.
The black fluffy cat is sad because he is lost in the freezing cold forest.  


                                                                                

Tuna Kuwaruwharu (Longfin Eel)

This term we have been learning all about the longfin Eel.

Our assembly item was based on the story Velvet and Elvis. This was a story about the migration journey that the longfin Eel takes.

I have created 2 different  digital learning objects (DLO) to share my learning on this topic.

The first is a poster that I created in my topic book about the challenges to the long fin Eel.  I was away during this topic time so I will take a photo and insert it when I am finished my poster.

I also created a poster sharing 5 interesting facts using google docs.

When I was videoing myself reading I felt nervous but excited because I have done it before.

I learnt how to take my video and embed it into my blog.  

A quality blog  post needs a title, writing about my learning and a (DLO) digital learning object).

Waitangi Learning

Last Tuesday I got to school early because Te manga was going to 

waitangi we got of the bus when we arrived at waitangi whaea kerry and whaea monika took us strat up stairs. I felt nerviness

but really exited I look'd t the Antarctica art inside. I saw bean bags

and cushions in the class room I saw the green screen too.

Next we sat on the mat and talk'd about what we were going to do.

after that we did an unplugged activity we had to sort cards 1 to 50

we were in groups I was with Alani and Zana we were asking lots of questions we were the second group to finish. after that Catalan

brought some taonga we were guessing how old they were. After we made our self's in the background we created the eels. I made mine look like a real eel with sun glasses and when we made the eels and our self's we had to make them move by putting code's into a box like move 5 steps and speech bubbles that said there's an eel and what they do in real life. It was so fun.

Lastly we went to the field and played chain tag and hare in the whare. When we were done we went back in and said good bye it was sad leaving but we had to noooooooo.
