Haka

On a dark night Te Rauparaha the chief of Ngati Toa went on a trip to find more warriors to help him fight his enemies.  When he got to Lake Rotoaira the chief Te Wharerangi told him to hide in the potato pit. Te Rangikoaea protected the entrance.

While he was in the potato pit it was dark and he could hear footsteps and voices of his enemies. He was saying to himself “Will I die, will I live.”  Te Rauparaha waited for his enemies to leave as soon as they were gone he jumped out and said onward I live the sun is shining. Te Rauparaha went home and told all his villagers about what happened.

WALT:  Follow the sequence of Narrative writing

Title: The 2 BFF’s  and the Bull

On a cloudless, sunny day, at approximately 3pm in the sizable paddock on the dairy farm situated in the Far North of New Zealand.  Lola & Izzy were trying to find something to do.  Lola was wearing a strippy  suit and blue farm overalls over them. She has long blonde flowing hair.  Izzy was wearing the exact same thing except she has short ginger hair. Lola’s personality is kind and caring, Izzy’s personality is also kind and caring but we can both be a little bit bossy sometimes. While they were in the paddock looking for something to do, Lola found a bunch of pretty flowers and started to teach Izzy how to make pretty chains.  Suddenly Izzy looked up and found lots of big, scary, mean  bulls in the very same paddock!

Problem

As Izzy & Lola were thinking of a plan Lola found the four seater red and black  motorbike  that they had used to get in the paddock. However the motorbike was beyond far away from where they were.  Luckily Izzy and Lola were very fast as they were running to the bike.  The bulls were getting angrier and angrier, “Phew finally we got there,” they groaned. Lola and Izzy hopped onto the motorbike and drove home safely. Telling  their Mum and Dad all about what had happened and how they escaped from the big, scary, mean bulls! 

Self Assessment:

      What I liked about my writing: 

• I wrote juicy sentences

• I did not use boring words

• I used capital letters

      What I need to do to improve my writing; 

• I need to be able to do all of my writing myself

• I need to stay on task

• Improve my proof-reading skills

WALT:  Express myself in Narrative Writing

On a rainy stormy day there were 3 campers called Lola. Her personality is kind and caring. On the day they were going camping she was wearing track pants and a nice big jacket. Her hair is blonde.  Pip the dragon was orange and pink he is a mud wing and his personality is sloppy, dirty but he is really nice. Max the bus driver was wearing a bus suit. His personality is kind but sometimes angry. On the way to the forest they were happily singing and laughing. When they got there they were walking along looking for somewhere to stay and then the storm started. It blew away their map but they kept walking through the strong winds.

Getting lost

After about 1 hour they found where they were going to camp. Well they were setting up the tent, Pip was looking for some food but there was none so he whispered to Lola “we've got no food.” Oh no lola said back.  After they set up camp they went for a little walk. On their way back they got lost and all their stuff blew far far deep in the forest, they huddled up and all they could hear was birds chirping and the wind gushing everywhere. They could only just see the yellow & green leaves. It was so dark. Lola was crying, Pip was groaning.  Max was living his best life.  (He was hanging from a tree like a monkey)

What a life saver Lola

All of a sudden Lola remembered that she had the bus keys and if she unlocked it, would make a noise and the lights would flash. So she told the others “look  guys there's the bus.” she kept doing that and they were getting closer and closer until BANG! They had all crashed into the bus quickly: they jumped in and drove home as fast as an elephant. When they got home they were absolutely drenched. Would you like to go camping tomorrow?

Title :The Big Day

Animal

On a sunny day up in a big high fat trunky tree in the middle of the school was an animal  named Jabari. Jabari was a big beautiful white, black and orange cheetah that had lived at the school for years.  Jabari had retired from hunting because of all the fights he had.  Everyday all the children from the school brang meat and cheetah food for him.

Rock concert

One day the school was having a big colorful rock concert in the fully decorated hall . Jabari got left out though. Then one of the nicest kids came out and whispered to Jabari “Come party with us!” so that is what he did. As Jabari walked in he was wowed! They danced all night and ate all night.

Incident

After the concert Jabari wanted to win some money. This week's lottery holds 1 million dollars. He had 2 dollars already. So he asked one of the kids to go to the shop and get a lottery ticket. When the kid got back with the ticket she handed it to Jabari and they both looked at each other and said “We won!!!” So the next day they went on a shopping spree and Jabari built a new house and lots of amazing things for it. Where they lived happily ever after

 Today Whaea Donna taught my class what to do when you get a not so positive email. We made a slide and did the things she said to do. here is mine
