This is my Anzac day slide.
I am a Year 5 student at Paparore School School in Northland, New Zealand. Mrs Junjovich is my teacher. My blog is a collection of my work at various stages, across different curriculum areas. Throughout my time at Paparore School I may share draft copies of my work for feedback and feed forward. Other times I will share my final published pieces. I would appreciate any feedback through leaving me a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment. Thank you

KA When it rains
When it rains...
It splashes,
It drips,
It evaporates,
It flows
and it soaks children trying to find shelter from the storm.
It saturates me when I am trying to go back into the house.
I make it rain when I dribble in my sleep because I am having a dream of me in candy land eating all the lollies.

Water fun day
Recount of our Water fun day. Yesterday Wednesday 24.3.21 Paparore School had a water fun afternoon. The girls in my class raced off to get changed into our togs. I was so excited that I tripped over my pants and landed on the seat. When we were changed we went outside and Mrs Brydon showed us where to go. Now we could start having fun. There were a lot of things you could choose to do like, Water guns, water slides, blue tunnel slide and the pool. But my favourite thing out of everything was the blue tunnel slide because there was a sprinkler at the top and the slide was wet. When we slid down we would fly off the yellow mat that we were supposed to land on, I kept saying to myself “ I did it!.” My 2nd favourite thing was the big water slide because it was very slippery and if you went fast enough you would fly off the end of the mat and onto the grass, I was saying to myself “This is so fun.!” Last of all was the pool because there were lots of water guns to squirt people with, there were also some netball to play with. I decided to stay in the deep end because there were more people to play with. Lucy and I were trying to dodge everything that was in the pool. Me and all my friends were screaming “stop squirting us and hitting us with the netballs!”. On the playground there was a little blue slide from the juniors playground. Me and Lucy were wet so we slid down on our tummies and tried to land flat on the ground without using our hands. Lucy was telling me,” Keep your hands off the ground, it doesn't hurt.” So I said “ But what if it does hurt.” I could hear people screaming “this is sooo fun.” Then the bell rang so we had to get changed back into our clothes and line up in bus lines. But I could hear people saying ,” I wish we could keep going.” We were all really happy and excited that we got to do that all afternoon. Conclusion When it was time to get changed into our clothes Mihi left her shorts on her bag rack lucky Koda had all her clothes on so she could race back and get them for her. Me and Lucy left our towels in the gazebo so we had to get changed before we went and got them. Finally we were all changed and we could line up in bus lines and go home.
